GENERAL MANAGER & CFO
Responsible for all the financial and administrative functions for the Toronto office and as of January 1998, assumed the senior administrator/CFO role for the firm world-wide:
- Conceived and implemented a tiered billing rate structure based on client location which increased overall revenues by 2 to 3%.
- Developed and executed an integrated technology strategy for a multi-location, complex, international organization as a result of which the organization was recognized as having “great technology” in an ROB survey of the 50 Best Firms to Work for in Canada.
- Instrumental in totally revamping management reporting, financial analysis and metrics, which was highlighted at the 2003 Annual Partners’ Meeting as one of the Firm’s key achievements for the previous five years as part of the strategic thrust to run the Firm more like a business.
- Through enhanced cash monitoring and management, reduced by over one-third the contributed capital demanded of partners. For the average partner that meant a return of capital of approximately $165,000.
